Poland and Europe’s important communication routes meet in Katowice. It is here where the North-South and East West routes, two Trans European transport corridors cross. No. III, from Berlin, via Wrocław, Katowice and Krakow to Lvov and no. IV: Gdańsk – Katowice – Żylina. As a result two motorways cross the city – A1 presently under construction and the already existing A4. Thanks to the region’s compact communication network and its superb connections with domestic and international routes reaching Katowice by car poses no problem at all.
