Pozna_cultureart_2Culture is central to Poznań’s daily life. The city is home to 9 theatres and musical institutions, including a philharmonic, choirs and orchestras, 21 museums, dozens of galleries and an array of exhibition facilities. Poznań is the site of major festivals, musical competitions and cultural events. The most prominent of these are the Henryk Wieniawski International Violin and Violin-Making Competitions, the Feliks Nowowiejski International Organ Festival, the Integracje World Folklore Review, the Malta International Theatre Festival, the Maski Theatre Festival, the Poznań Musical Spring Festival of contemporary art and the International Jazz Era Festival.
