European Travel Commission meetings in Warsaw

European Travel Commission is an institution associating National Tourist Organisations from 35 countries, which aims at the promotion of tourism both in individual countries and in all of Europe. On 3-5 October 2011, for the first time, Poland hosted ETC’s 60th Board of  Directors Meeting and 81st General Meeting of Members. This extremely prestigious event took place in Marriot Hotel in Warsaw, and was attended by the directors of Europe’s National Tourist Organisations. Its special guest was Pedro Ortun, a European Commission representative.

Fam Trip in Warsaw

2 October 2011 saw the conclusion of the first Fam Trip event organised by the Poland Convention Bureau of the Polish Tourist Organisation under the image - product campaign on three markets, aiming at presenting Poland in an interesting, less business-related, way.
8 participants from priority markets – France, Germany and the United Kingdom – got to know Warsaw’s history, attractions and culture.

Utilities Telecom Council European Conference in Warsaw

On 26-27 October 2011 a study visit preceding the Utilities Telecom Council European Conference took place. UTC has over 750 corporate and association members, who provide innovative telecommunications solutions to support their activities. Warsaw, which faced Amsterdam in the finals, was chosen to hold the conference in 2012.

Poland Convention Bureau in ICCA Best Marketing Award finals!

ICCA Best Marketing Award is a prize awarded annually to the members of the ICCA association for outstanding achievements in the field of region and product marketing.
This year, the Poland Convention Bureau decided to accept this challenge and face the best competitors. Summary of the actions of the Poland Convention Bureau in changing the image of the Polish meetings industry and its promotion won recognition of the judging panel, comprised of professionals in the field of marketing and last year’s laureates.
